A few weeks back I had the privilege of photographing Kellie and her family at one of Sydney's beautiful northern beaches. Poor Kellie didn't get more than two minutes to catch her breath as her Little Mr. Energetic zigged and zoomed around like a firecracker. I've been warned that this is a boy thing!
The great thing about photographing family portraits these days is that people are open to having more than just a few posed photos. They are after the candid. The real-life interactions and beings of their tribes. Luckily enough, this is my favourite way to photograph. I want the photos to tell a story. More than just what you looked like three, or ten or thirty years ago. I want the photos to remind you of a time when your son just LOVED to fearlessly run. A time when you had the energy to chase him. A time when you and you son and your own mum were together. The special, quiet moments that nanny and your son shared.
Get in touch if candid, real, unposed family portraits is on your to do list this year.
